New Montvale PENTAX Facility Brings More
Jobs to Bergen County
MONTVALE, NJ – Bergen County officials today welcomed PENTAX
of America, Inc. to its new corporate headquarters in Montvale.
After a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at 4:30 p.m., PENTAX officially
relocated to 102 Chestnut Ridge Road in the Borough.
This past April PENTAX Medical Company and PENTAX Imaging Company
merged to form PENTAX of America. County officials helped convince
the executives of newly merged company to relocate from Orangeburg,
New York.
“We’re excited about this new business opportunity,”
said McNerney. “In Montvale, PENTAX can develop infrastructure
to the company’s exact specifications, they will enjoy close
proximity to New York City and the fact that Bergen County is clearly
one of the most desirable places to work and live.”
The 50,000 square-foot facility is expected to bring approximately
150 new jobs to Bergen. The County of Bergen, in partnership with
the Bergen County Economic Development Corporation (BCEDC), worked
diligently to add PENTAX to Bergen’s thriving business community.
“Our decision to move was based on our need for more space,”
said Ikuzo Okamoto, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PENTAX
of America, Inc. “Montvale offered us a great location which
is central to New York and all of the airports, a beautiful building
and a wonderful neighborhood for us to call home. We are thrilled
to be here and look forward to many years in this area.”
