When’s the last time you laid on the grass in Mill River Park? If you can’t remember, you are not alone. The goose poop has made the grass uninviting, to put it mildly, and gross, to put it bluntly. Well, those days may soon be over thanks to Kate, Mill River Collaborative’s new border collie.

Shown here with her handler, Collaborative Ambassador Jessica Curtis, Kate has quickly established the park lawn areas as her territory and strictly off limits to loose geese.

We envision a future when residents lie on the grass and daydream gazing at the clouds, without fear of what lies beneath them.
