Excelsior Graphics is happy
to accept the following file formats for your job:
- Quark Xpress version 4 and 5.0, Adobe InDesign, version
2.1, Adobe Illustrator up to version 9, Macromedia Freehand,
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and Corel Draw. We also
accept EPS, TIFF, and JPG files in the correct resolution
of 300dpi or better.
- The following instructions can help ensure that your
files output correctly and quickly.
For Quark Xpress, and Adobe InDesign files:
Collect all files for output, send all picture files
and fonts with quark file. MAC USERS – be sure
to include both the screen and printer fonts for all
PostScript fonts. WINDOWS USERS be sure to include the
.PDFM and .PFB files for your PostScript fonts. Be sure
all picture files are linked in your document prior
to sending.
- For Macromedia Freehand files: Be sure and convert
all text to path especially if work is prepared on a
PC. Please include native freehand file along with your
freehand EPS files.
- All Tiff & JPG files used in any document should
be no less then 300 dpi in order to assure proper print
quality. If you are unsure, please send the native PSD
files along with your tiff or jpg image.
- All images that are used in 4 color process should
be converted to CMYK prior to sending.
- All Pantone colors should be specified by corresponding
number.
- EPS or TIFF images that contain a clipping path should
have the flatness setting blank (not zero or a number)
- Please notify us if you are using pixel images with
non-CMYK inks in them. This includes duotones, tritons,
quadtones, etc. as well as Hi-Fi and Hexachrome separations.

Note: To insure that your files will print properly,
print out your files first in separation mode on your
printer and include printouts or PDF’s with your
job.
