Dear Friends,
It is with great joy that I am writing you to introduce Marni Mandell who, effective October 17, 2010, has joined the American Friends of the Jordan River Village as Executive Director. Marni’s unique background combines her experience in both the non-profit sector - where she was responsible for the oversight and stewardship of several Israeli/American organizations, as well as in the for-profit sector - where she worked in business development for an Israeli high-tech company.
As a resident of Israel, she adds the ability to provide our donors with on-the-ground insight and information about developments at the Jordan River Village. In Marni’s capacity as the ED of AFJRV, she will be working to revitalize the Board and engage both established and new lay leadership in order to work towards opening and ongoing sustenance of the Jordan River Village.
Included in this letter are some current photographs of the Village for those who have not had the opportunity to visit. We remain committed to our goal of opening the facility to serve children in Israel as soon as possible. With your on-going support I am confident we will achieve this goal.
