STAMFORD, CT, December 1, 2006 -- Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Revolution Studios have designated Jordan River Village as the beneficiary of the World Premiere of "ROCKY BALBOA," written, directed by and starring Sylvester Stallone, on Wednesday, December 13 at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre. A party at the famed Hollywood & Highland Ballroom will follow the premiere.
The Academy Award®-winning "ROCKY" franchise, the greatest underdog story of our time, is back for one final round. In "ROCKY BALBOA," the former heavyweight champion is drawn back into the ring for an exhibition fight, where despite facing a powerful new rival, personal tragedy and his own doubts, Rocky proves that he still has the heart of a champion.
All of the ticket sales and contributions at the Premiere will benefit Jordan River Village, a Hole in the Wall Camp that is the only place in the Middle East where seriously ill children can just be kids. Hole in the Wall Camps are the dream of Paul Newman, who started the first camp in 1988 and has been the driving force ever since. Located high above the Sea of Galilee in Israel, Jordan River Village's mission is simple: To enrich the lives of children in the Middle East who are suffering from serious and life-threatening illnesses by creating a free, safe, fun-filled, memorable, empowering, and medically sound camping experience.
We invite you to participate in this benefit premiere. When determining your contribution level please remember each of us has the ability to make life a little better for seriously ill children.
