BAYONNE,
NJ – October 28, 2004 - The
heart of Bayonne is filled with Holiday spirit! The Bayonne
Town Center is proud to announce its schedule of magical events
for the upcoming holiday season. All events, as always, are
free to the public.
New holiday
lights, supplied by Christmas Spectacular, will begin going
up on November 15; all trees within the Town Center will be
lit and wreaths will be hung from the decorative lamp posts.
Kicking
off the holiday season, The Bayonne Town Center, in conjunction
with The City of Bayonne, will host it’s annual Christmas
Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, November 22nd at 5:00P.M.
on 25th Street and Broadway.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will include the arrival of Santa
on a fire truck, as has become a Bayonne Town Center tradition.
Santa will hand out candy canes and listen to children’s
Christmas wishes, so be sure to bring your camera! Various
Bayonne school choirs will enliven our celebration with selections
of holiday music, and Mayor Joseph V. Doria Jr. will do the
honor of lighting the tree.
On
Saturday, December 4 between 11:00A.M. and 3:00P.M., Bayonne
Town Center will be hosting Horse & Buggy Rides with Santa
at West 22nd Street and DelMonte Drive. Be sure to come early
as this is one of the most popular holiday events!
The Bayonne
Town Center’s Lighting of the Menorah will take place
on Tuesday, December 7 at 4:00P.M. at The Bayonne Community
Bank located at 510 Broadway. This event is held in conjunction
with the Bayonne Jewish Community Center.
Our
Annual Breakfast with Santa will be held at McDonalds on 25th

11:00 A.M. Pre-registration is required and space is limited,
it is recommended that you register early for this anticipated
event. You may register by calling our office at (201) 339-9409.
