Jonathan D. Greenberg, CFA – President, CEO & Chief Software Designer
Jonathan has spent 18 years on Wall Street. Before founding, in April 2003, what was to become OCE Interactive, he dedicated the majority of his 13-year investment banking career to Salomon Brothers and then Lehman Brothers, where he was a senior executive in the firm’s Investment Banking Global Power Group, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions and advising prominent clients on many of the firm’s highest-profile deals.
In his head leadership role at OCE, Jonathan has primary responsibility for shaping the company’s overarching creative and strategic vision. He is the driving force behind OCE’s financial theories and application design. Jonathan oversees all aspects of the company’s product development, strategic direction, marketing plans, and the cultivation of relationships with prospective customers and commercial partners.
Throughout his investment banking career, Jonathan pioneered the development of cutting-edge valuation and credit analysis methodologies. While at Salomon, Jonathan developed a firm-wide approach to analyzing the credit and valuation of corporate holding companies with multiple levels of leverage. He accumulated years of experience advising clients on their equity and equity-related product offerings, as well as highly structured financings.
Jonathan actively participated in the restructuring and deregulation of the U.S. and U.K. electric sectors, working as a strategic advisor in many high-profile, transformational, large-cap transactions, and in the mid-1990s he worked extensively to help shape the deregulation of the Brazilian power sector. During this period, he was a particularly avid student of the lifecycles of companies and industries, which fueled his desire to develop a framework that explains the relative positioning of stocks within the constantly evolving market landscape – and over time became the driver of OCE’s Market Topography innovations.
Jonathan holds the CFA designation and at times has served as a spokesman for the CFA Institute and its largest member financial analyst society, the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA). He is a member of The Economic Club of New York. Jonathan received a degree in economics from Yale University in 1990. He resides in New York City with his wife Allison and their son Jacob.
