Michael Lockitch, CFA - Executive Vice President, CFO & Chief Systems Architect

Prior to joining forces with Jonathan in 2003 to form OCE Interactive, Michael spent 10 years as an investment banker at Wasserstein Perella and CS First Boston (via the merger with Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette) and as a consultant to a private equity arm of American International Group.

At OCE, Michael is the central technical liaison with our software architects and developers at Oracle, as he manages both internal and external resources to oversee all of our programming and database development efforts.  He performs the lead role in the technical development of our financial models and in-house systems for PROCON.

Michael’s most critical areas of focus include overseeing and participating in the creation and implementation of our database architecture to handle the disparate data streams that PROCON requires, as well as our business logic development (in VBA, C#, MATLAB and SQL Server) to build and test the statistical, arithmetic and heavily data-driven underpinnings of our Market Topography technology and PROCON functional platform.

Michael’s investment banking career focused mainly on strategic ad advisory work in the electric power sector and in the context of corporate bankruptcies, including numerous multi-billion-dollar transactions involving asset acquisitions and sales; public and private structured financings; debtor-in-possession financings; and leveraged buy-outs.

Michael’s passion for crafting technological solutions to complex computational problems inspired him to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully implement and oversee the development of the programmatic technology at the heart of OCE’s systems.  In addition, through his experience working on bankruptcies, restructurings and structured financings, Michael honed a keen understanding of the impact of corporate operating performance and capital structure on equity valuation, which has provided an essential ingredient in OCE’s product development.

Michael holds the CFA charter and is a member of NYSSA.  He received a degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of British Columbia in 1993.  Michael lives in New York City.
