Your religious building embodies the hopes, dreams and faith of your congregation. It's a place of worship, reverence, prayer, learning and beauty. DYAMI understands that religious architecture holds a special place in the community and has a spiritual and physical affect on those that experience it.

By working together and exchanging ideas, we can develop insightful solutions, and present options from which informed decisions can be made. We will assist in building consensus at every stage of the design process, and keep the team focused on the project mission and goals that are established.  Although each project has its own unique requirements, challenges and solutions, some of the primary considerations in our design approach include:

  • Creating a “Sense of Place” that respects the holy nature of both the facility and those that use it.
  • Recognizing that it is our responsibility to be good stewards of the resources entrusted to us.
  • Considering the lifecycle costs of the facility to minimize operating and maintenance costs.
  • Incorporating "Sustainable Design" principles to leave future generations with a healthier planet.
  • Designing flexibility in to the facility so that changing future needs can be accommodated.

We can assist you in the design of all aspects of religious life, from large places of worship and religious school facilities to community centers, meeting rooms, and gymnasiums to name a few.

It has been said that “bad design makes you, good design lets you.”  The goal of our collaborative design approach is to synthesize your congregation’s culture as well as the realities of the building program, budget and schedule, to create a unique “Sense of Place” that is both inspirational and functional.
